BBCC is about a multicultural and vibrant Birmingham- we wanted to capture the essence of Birmingham in the first of our annual charity catwalk event. Fashion is something everyone can relate to, representing fun and creativity. We want do something good and to give back to local community. Everyone involved in producing and participating in the show are unpaid volunteers. We all want to help put Birmingham on the map!
We would love to involve as much of the Birmingham community as possible, local businesses and creative individuals alike. It's an excellent opportunity for local businesses to give local youngsters more career opportunities, put on an amazing fashion catwalk for charity, as well as help build community spirit. This especially benefits young people to make a direct and practical difference to their local community, whilst simultaneously accumulating experience for the real world. In the same way we should support our High Streets and local businesses in these difficult economic times, we can all help our Birmingham Community.
By organising an annual charity fashion fundraising event, we can help local students and graduates fulfil their full potential by offering them opportunities and experience as; aspiring fashion designers, models, MUAs (make-up artists), hairdressers, photographers, lights and sound technicians, stage hands, performers, dancers, as well as roles in events and marketing.
So for our debut show in 2010, we have nominated the 'Red Balloon Appeal for Birmingham Childrens Hospital (Registered Charity Number: 1074850) to be our fundraising recipient. We have chosen this charity because it has immediate relevance to every child, parent and family in the West Midlands area. This is a great opportunity for the local community to give something back and support this highly worthwhile cause.

Event Details:
It's going to a MASSIVE charity event taking place on Bank Holiday Sunday 2nd May, at the Birmingham Conservatoire (next to Central Library) from midday.
The fundraiser is all in aid of the Birmingham Children's Hospital and its a lot do with putting a spotlight on a multicultural and vibrant Birmingham.
On the day, guests will be entertained with showgirls and dancers, pampered at the Beauty Hall or treating themselves to a spot of retail therapy at the Fashion Hall. To top it all off, there will be Fashion Catwalk & Auction/Raffle from 6.30pm.
There'll also be a Jobs Fair to help those seeking employment or get advice.
Entry to the Jobs Fair, Fashion and Beauty Halls is FREE, while tickets for the catwalk show cost £9 (inc. entry to After-Party _Bar Risa). Tickets are available NOW at Bar Risa (Broad Street).

Getting involved is easy- all you need is a local connection to Brum or West Midlands!
The sponsorship of local businesses is imperative to this fantastic and worthwhile cause. It aims to both give back to the local community by fundraising for a local charity (Birmingham Children's Hospital) and offer local students/ graduates experience in their field, helping to start their careers. Everyone involved in producing and participating in the show are unpaid volunteers. The costs of covering this event is approx. £8500 and without sponsorship, this amazing charity event will not be able to take place.
